Alien Awakening would presumably complete a trilogy, which would then be followed by another three movies, making for a total of four new Alien films after Covenant. If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more, Scott said. While he didnt provide a specific timeframe during which the remaining three would be set, he did confirm they wouldnt take place after the original Alien. Alien Covenant promises to be the goriest Alien film yet when it opens in theaters on May 1.
